All routes will start a 5 minute walk from the People's Hall which will be signposted. Please stick to marked path. The U18's  and U16's races will ascend Winder and finish at the summit of Arant Haw. The U14's race will finish on the top of Winder and the U12's race will finish just before the steep final climb of Winder on the U14's route. 

The U10's and U8's races are non-championship races and will be up and down races, finishing in the start/finish field.

A klaxon will be sounded 5 minutes before each race and again at the start of the race.

Prizes 

Medals to top 3 boys and girls in each age group.

Prize Giving for all championship races will be at 2:30 in the People's Hall. Under 8's and Under 10's prize winners will receive medals at the finish of their race.  

Team Prize

A prize will be awarded to the top club team decided by the teams best scoring three boys and three girls in the championship races, total of six runners to score. If there is a tie the seventh best runner boy or girl will count, and then eighth or ninth runners if needed. 

Important Note

In the event of bad weather, all participants in the championship races will be asked to carry a windproof/waterproof jacket. The race organizers reserve the right to not let a runner start if they feel a participant does not have the necessary clothing to go up and down the courses safely. All courses may be changed in the event of extreme weather conditions. 

Runner Safety 

It is the responsibility of all parents and coaches to ensure that their runners know where to meet them after their race as all championship races finish high up on the mountain. If a runner has any doubt on the best route back to the finish they should follow the flags back to a marshal and ask for directions/be walked off the mountain. If a parent has any concerns that a runner has not returned to the start they should report this to the start officials.
